WE BACK TO WORK

The 127th China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as Canton Fair, kicked off online on June 15, a first for the decades-old trade fair, in south China’s Guangdong province. This year’s online fair, which will last for 10 days, has attracted around 26,000 enterprises in 16 categories with 1.8 million products. The fair will provide round-the-clock services, including online exhibitions, promotion, business docking and negotiations.

From healthcare and medical supplies to education and logistics, the Internet of things, 5g communications, artificial intelligence and big data have played an important role in the outbreak.

Work resumption is taking place across China except for Hubei province, the hardest-hit region. About 94.6 percent of the country’s major grain production and processing firms have resumed production, while supply of natural gas, electricity and refined oil is sufficient.
