Different names, the natural performance is different, usually high strength bolts can bear more load than ordinary bolts of the same specification.

Ordinary bolts are made of Q235(A3) material.

High strength bolts made of material 45# steel, alloy steel (such as 20MnTiB, 35VB) or other high quality materials that are heat-treated to increase strength.

The difference between the two is the strength of the material.

First point: From the perspective of raw materials:

High-strength bolts are made of high-strength materials. The screws, nuts and washers of high strength bolts are made of high strength steel, commonly used 45 steel, 40 boron steel, 20 manganese titanium boron steel.Ordinary bolts are usually made of Q235 steel.

Second point: From the perspective of intensity level:

Two strength classes, 8.8 and 10.9, are commonly used, with 10.9 in the majority. The strength grade of ordinary bolts should be lower, generally 4.4, 4.8, 5.6.(8.8S and 10.9S are special for steel structure)
