The Ministry of Commerce of PRC has decided that the 127th Canton Fair is to be held online from June 15 to 24. As Canton Fair’s organizer, China Foreign Trade Centre, ensures that various preparations are well underway in line with the arrangements of the Ministry. We will improve our technological application and supporting services to enhance the online experience of all enterprises and traders. We strive to hold an especially wonderful “online Canton Fair” with special significance through special measures in this unprecedented time.

The Canton Fair has operated uninterrupted for 63 years. As an all-round opening-up platform, it has made tremendous contributions to international trade cooperation. The success of Canton Fair has always relied on your participation and immense support.

The 127th Canton Fair held its first Global Promotion on Cloud event for France on June 2nd. Ms. Gao Yuanyuan, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of China in France, Xu Bing, Vice Secretary General and Spokesperson of the Canton Fair and Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, Alain EYGRETEAU, Vice President of Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Laura GASPAROUX, Chief of Europe & International Development, Chambre regionale de metiers et d’artisanat Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, and David MORAND, representative of loyal buyers attended the event online.

Gao Yuanyuan said that the coronavirus pandemic has changed our life and impacted global economy, world trade and investment. The Sino-France cooperation has also suffered a blow. Premier Li Keqiang emphasized in the Report on the Work of the Government 2020 that China will “promote higher-standard opening up and stabilize the overall performance of foreign trade and investment.” In the 56 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, the Sino-France relations have served as an engine for China-Europe economic and trade cooperation. In the new, open, and post-pandemic era, the two countries face more cooperation opportunities in the economic and business sector. She invited French companies and businessmen to attend Canton Fair and encourage them to feel the innovative integration of Internet technology with an international trading event so as to drive bilateral trade development and contribute to world trade stability in response to COVID-19.

In this unprecedented time, we need your participation more than ever to successfully hold the coming session. Let’s join our hands and create more business opportunities!
